SUPA IGA Lowood director and Bakery Department supervisor, Brett Lowry, first started his supermarket career in 1984 when he undertook a cadetship with Coles. After working in every department in Coles, he joined the family business in 1999 with responsibility for general merchandise.

With the opening of the new Lowood store in 2005, Brett took on responsibility for setting up the new bakery department. He is also one of the two food safety officers for SUPA IGA Lowood.

All bakery products are baked fresh daily in store. Brett is passionate about baking – he just loves thinking up new creations and combinations. His cheese, chive and garlic pull-aparts are famous throughout the district. His Swiss rolls and lamingtons are popular with the older generation, and for people who like to prepare their own fillings at home, there is a range of unfilled tart cases and sponges.

‘World famous in Lowood’, his fresh quiches, meat pies and fresh lasagne are excellent value and very tasty.

For any lover of sweet things, Brett's mud cakes hit the spot.

Fresh cut sandwiches and piping hot lasagne are available for anyone wanting a quick meal on the go.
